Three Decades of Mission-Critical Partnership with a Major Texas State Agency

Client: A major Texas state agency

The Challenge

Some relationships are measured in projects. This one is measured in decades. The agency needed a modern, fault-tolerant infrastructure solution that could carry critical operations without a single point of failure, delivered by a partner who already understood their environment inside and out.

Our Solution

The partnership began in 1991, when Comp-Utility delivered a complete turnkey data center: 4,000 square feet of access flooring, a 600 kVA UPS, 120 tons of cooling, 60 tons of chilled-water CPU cooling, and full electrical distribution. Thirty-five years later, we delivered their latest build, a fully designed and constructed in-row solution with two 15 kVA UPS systems and two cooling systems, each in 2N redundant configuration, complete with cabinets, electrical and mechanical hookup, commissioning, and staff training.

The Result

A 2N architecture means every critical component is fully duplicated, so there is no single point of failure. The agency moved from a legacy footprint to a resilient, modern platform, backed by a partner who has stood beside them for more than three decades.
